In 2014, after 6 years in a referral practice in Flower Mound, Texas, Dr. Carter started Companion Animal Dental Solutions to make advanced treatment more convenient for pet owners and to increase awareness among veterinary team members by providing services in multiple clinics in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
His unique approach provided him the opportunity to work in over 60 veterinary practices from 2014 to 2016, educating pet owners, veterinarians and support staff on the common nature of oral diseases and the importance of safe and effective care. He started commuting to Rohnert Park, California every other week in May of 2016 before deciding to settle down there in November of the same year. In addition to treating complicated cases, Dr. Carter also travels the United States consulting with clinics to improve dental care and often speaks to groups on the importance of excellent dental care for companion animals. In 2019, he became a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College, earning the title of Veterinary Dental Specialist.
Dr. Carter is currently seeing patients full time in Northern California at VCA Animal Care Center of Sonoma County.
